Since January 1st, 2008, Faceo manages the Facility services of the Areva site in Romans. On this nuclear site of 90 000 m2 (with more than 1 000 employees), FBPC, 100% subsidiary of the Areva Group, manufactures nuclear fuel assemblies for pressurized water reactors (PWR). Once put together, these Fuel assemblies form the reactor core.
This success is exemplary for more than one reason. It is the first time that Faceo works for the Nuclear products division of Areva and it is the first time in France that a nuclear site entrusts to a Facility Management provider its facilities services.
The change to FM has been carried out without staff transfer. Considering its activity, this site, which is OHSAS certified, requires obviously very specific operation restrictions.
