A brief history of Facility Management
At the end of the 1980s in the United States, companies began to outsource their support services to external service providers, and Facility Management was born.
The concept rapidly caught on in Europe via the United Kingdom, helped by the voluntary move towards using the private sector for public infrastructures.
However, the potential for growth in the European market was halted by legal and business constraints.
Today, the concept of Facilities Management has spread to the rest of Europe and is maturing.
Facility Management is at the heart of the strategic decisions of your organisation.
