European Facility Management Awards: Faceo and Thales finalists

At the European Facility Management Conference of June 2007, organised by EuroFM and IFMA, Faceo with Thales have been nominated finalists for the European FM Award “Partner Across Borders”, which highlights best practice in facilities management services delivery across Europe.

Faceo provides Thales with Facility Management services, utilities and property management to 55 sites in France, United-Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Belgium. It is a truly pan European large-scale Facilities Management contract (150 million Euros turnover); and massive staff transfer have been implemented (400 transferred employees to Faceo in more than 30 different operations), while the quality of service has been constantly monitored and improved.

The judges, in charge of granting the award, pointed particularly out Faceo expertise in terms of staff transfer and performance management: “The judges commended excellent training programmes for Faceo site managers designed to help them learn the partnership culture, understand quality issues and how to measure them, and to ensure all 275 site managers maintain the same standards. Successful implementation of common SLAs (Service Level Agreement) and KPIs (key Performance Indicators) across all sites using up to date Faceo Facilities Management tools has shown how services can be improved across borders. It was good to see the flexibility of four different service levels which each site could choose from, allowing Faceo to meet varying client needs.”

This event was a good opportunity for Thales and Faceo to demonstrate how well their contract run, with parties working together to provide a much improved service at lower costs.
