Managing a sales team involves the management of its members as much as the client. The job of Sales Director is a contact sport that puts the client relationship and the relationship with his colleagues at the heart of success.

 

“I came from the world of small and medium sized business, where Iworked in office property sales, the supervision of the finishing stages of construction projects and consultancy on fitting outbuildings. I applied for a job on the spur of the moment and joined Faceo.

Continuing to work in Facility Management was then a deliberate choice, a logical progression since I had had close contact with Facility Management for a long time.

Since then, I have led a team of sales people and project managers. Leading a team effectively and giving it the opportunity to succeed involves [the Director] in training his colleagues, encouraging them and leading them to victory without ever losing sight of the main object : contact with the client.

Over and above establishing a trusting relationship, once we have persuaded the client of the relevance of Facility Management and the quality of our services, we can then be sure of meeting its needs over the long term.

This is why I love the job which is intense and requires an equal measure of perseverance with and responsiveness to my colleagues and our clients.”
